How to Vote

01 - Receive your ballot
Your envelope should look similar to the illustration above.
All registered voters before February 20, 2024 will receive a mail-in ballot.

02 - Fill out your ballot
Inside, there is a list of names and the positions these individuals are running for.
Do your research to decide who is the best candidate for you.

03 - Submit your ballot
There are multiple ways to submit your ballot:
• Mail it through the post office, your mailbox, or any blue USPS box.
• Drop it off at any ballot drop off location.
• Drop it off by Election Day (March 5) at any voting poll.Once sent, you can track your ballot!

Vote In Person
You can still vote in person on Tuesday, March 5 from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm! If you have not registered to vote before Election Day, you can still vote through a conditional ballot.

All candidates usually have their own website or page that has information on their stance, beliefs, and plans for the community. You can look them up online for more information.

You can still register to vote from now until Election Day. If you choose to wait, you will be voting through a conditional ballot that limits the various positions you can vote for.

The Primary Election not only decides the final candidates for the Presidential Election, but also for our local, county, and statewide representatives. This directly affects your neighborhood, community, and families as these individuals will be representing our voices.

All mail-in ballots must be postmarked any day BEFORE March 5th. This ensures that it will be received and counted in time to affect the results of the election.

Polling Centers are open from 7:00AM to 8:00PM on March 5, 2024.

For Republicans, yes. The state GOP has a “closed” presidential primary, which means that voters registered with no party preference cannot participate. (The same applies to the Green and Peace and Freedom parties). On the Democratic side, unaffiliated voters are allowed in its primary. The American Independent and Libertarian parties also allow no party preference voters. But you have to request a ballot that includes the presidential race.

Yes. Employers are only required to pay for a maximum of two hours, but may require advance notice. The time off must be at the beginning or the end of your shift. Employers are required to post a notice about this 10 days before a statewide election.
