In Southern California, Vietnamese manicurists— most of whom are refugees, immigrant women, and low-wage workers — have been heavily impacted by the LA fires, after being devastated by the COVID-19 pandemic. They have lost wages, their health, and even their salons.

Manicurists across the state are navigating the current financial crisis without access to health care, paid sick leave, or job security. Many workers who cannot afford to lose a day’s pay have lost their jobs, or are barely making ends meet with the sharp decline of clientele frequenting their salons.

Our communities need us more than ever. Donate today to help nail salon workers meet their basic needs.
