Christine Nguyễn
Civic Engagement Coordinator, She/Her
Christine grew up always knowing that she wanted to help others, especially underprivileged communities. Growing up as a Vietnamese American, she learned about her culture through her family members but noticed at a young age that being Asian meant being a part of the minority. Coming from a low-income background, she realized the disadvantages of being part of an underserved community. From here, her passion for advocating for individuals like her grew.
Before working at CHNSC, Christine worked alongside elderly Vietnamese American immigrants preparing for citizenship interviews and hearing their stories at Hope Community Services. She credits her experiences here for solidifying her commitment to supporting and advocating for individuals who experience similar life struggles as she and her family have. With CHNSC, she hopes to continue to hear more stories from the public and learn more ways in which she can advocate for the needs and support that they are searching for.
In her free time, Christine enjoys spending time with her loved ones, watching baseball games, attending concerts, and keeping up with the latest Korean dramas.
