AAPI and Black Unity Art Contest

The California Healthy Nail Salon Collaborative (CHNSC) and Black Women for Wellness (BWW) are proud to partner and present the Asian American and Black Unity Art Contest 2022: Solidarity, Trust and Community Health.

THEME: We want to highlight the efforts of Asian American and Black artists and organizations bringing communities together to create practices of solidarity, trust and healing to prevent violence and racism towards Asian American and Black communities.  We have the power to shape and share our stories towards changing systems and enhancing community safety and health. This is an opportunity through our art and creativity to collectively uplift one another and our communities as one. We invite artists to create art pieces and share images that reflect the togetherness, unity, strength and humanity of our communities despite efforts to keep us divided.

ELIGIBILITY: We encourage and welcome submissions from community members ages 18+ across California with personal connections to the nail salon industry and/or a commitment to racial justice, solidarity, and healing. Submit your art by September 18, 2022 using this Google form.
