Lisa has worked closely with organizations across the country, including Khmer Girls in Action, Asian Pacific Partners for Empowerment and Leadership, and Chinatown Community for Equitable Development. Lisa finds peace and energy in nature, raising her two children to live with and also fight for peace, love, and compassion for the earth and all oppressed peoples. She was born and raised on the traditional lands of the Tongva people (Los Angeles) and received her Master of Public Health from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Besides the work you do at CHNSC, what makes you feel empowered?
“I love being in community with other grown ups and families who are raising the kids in their lives to be thoughtful, compassionate, conscious, and kind. I feel empowered and hopeful that the next generation of kids can change the world and build/continue the legacy of radical change that we need.”
